It has been six days since my last update. I am still going through with this challenge, although my schedule has changed and I need to work more hours, away from my computer. However, I have made out time for coding every day, no matter how small.
First I am done with the first part of my course on Response Web Design. Now I am trying to conclude the practical task given to me. This is where things get a little tricky because I am asked to build projects that are a little bit outside the scope of what I have been taught, which is understandable. As a (prospective) software/web developer, I need to do my research. It is 80% of the work. I need to understand the rudiments and also go beyond that to create things.
So I have concluded two of the tasks given to me which is to create a tribute page. It was quite simple and I did not have to think much about it. You can find the tribute page here on CodePen.
I am also working on creating a form. I was going to go through the motion of doing something basic but I have taken the extra effort to create something nice. I have been watching other web developers on youtube and I have learnt a thing or two that will help me on my coding journey,
Here is a snippet of what I am working on:
It is a demo questionnaire for hive. I thought about applying my knowledge to something practical. This, I believe, is the only way I can take things a lot seriously and commit what I have learnt to memory.
I have issues with the textarea element. It is going out of the flow and I have not figured out how to sort the problem. I was going to do that earlier today but I had to visit the mechanic and do some work. Just got home not too long ago and I am exhausted, to say the least. I will wake up early to solve the problem.
So that is all for today guys. I should put out another update before the end of the week, and hopefully, by then, I would have concluded the form task and another. Cheers!
