I have to admit, yesterday was a difficult day. Forgot where I parked, forgot the food. I was a bit of a mess. Mainly because I spend a good part of the day (probably half of it) trying to edit a video for a new YouTube series I’m starting to promote a local app.
A quick screen grab of ‘Ride with’, a show for Ride (Surinamese version of Uber). The show is in Dutch, but I might share it on Dtube in the future anyway.
The raw footage was over 30 GB and just sorting out what I can use took over an hour. It was filmed with 3 cameras, two of which had terrible audio. The guy who filmed was in the back seat of the car and a little to visible at some times. Some cams recorded the beginning, others didn’t. One recorded only 5 minutes of footage. Only one made it until the end. Yes, filming with 3 cams can be a hassle. Especially if I’m in front of the camera and I can’t direct it. In the end, I decided to take the editing into my own hands, because there was a certain flow and I didn’t want to lose that either.
4 things I did and I'm proud of:
- Had another really successful client meeting discussing plans for 2020
- Finally got to do some video editing, meaning I get to create content, which I really want to do more in 2020
- Got the kids at school/daycare on time and got to put them in bed
And yes, as a result of 3: - I got 10 full hours of sleep!
Yes. I fell asleep next to my kids on their bed, on purpose (My son still wakes up in the middle of the night if he doesn’t sleep next to one of his parents). I probably also fell asleep before them.. but yes, I really needed a rest.

My personal twist:
For me the main focus will be on posting 4 things I did every day instead of 4 creative pushups.
