If you're anything like me, you would know that many Bitcoin related headlines in the mainstream news are trash.
For one, it's click-bait at best, hype and FUD (Fear uncertainty and doubt) at worst, designed to get people to move massive amounts of money in and out of Bitcoin either in panic or through the Fear Of Missing Out on "big profits".
It's public knowledge that Bloomberg News pays reporters to write anything that moves markets, likely other news publication also has similar incentives to write sensational if not scathing news pieces on this nascent technology.
The truth is, you can read all the headlines about Crypto and Bitcoin and still you'll never understand a lick about it.
To truly understand the basics of Bitcoin, you need an understanding in many aspects of computer science, mathematics, economics and accounting. Of course, just like the Internet, you don't need to know the inner workings of Bitcoin to use it.
But, if you wish to dive deeper into what Bitcoin is all about, i have curated a Youtube Playlist for videos that in my opinion, best explains the technological revolution that is Bitcoin.
Don't worry, there won't be any low-effort corporate music type video that weirdly talk about Geological mining analogies that leaves you scratching your head in the end.
This playlist will at the very least do the following:
- Provide you with an insight as to why Bitcoin needs to be created
- Show the very basic mathematical workings of the Bitcoin Protocol (no analogies)
- Reveal the mindset of early adopters of Bitcoin
- Dispel some misinformation in regards to Bitcoin
The playlist will run about 2 hours in full, but you can watch them video by video to your liking.
