On 3rd day of 34C3, there was a talk titled "cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, etc.: revolutionary tech?" by Zooko, the founder of Zcash. It was the talk I was looking forward to listening to the most. Zooko was involved in crypto and digital currency field more than 20 years since 90s. It was interesting to listen to how an experienced person see the current situation around cryptos, prices, pros and cons of projects, how countries react etc etc and whats next in 2018 and in the future. Other than Zooko's talk, I joined Taxation and Protecting Your Privacy at the Border. Although the taxation is introduced as "the most borin #34c3 talk" in the talk's page, I enjoyed both talks.
I didn't join any session on the day four today. I was busy for shopping as stores close tomorrow ... yes it's German Sunday. And I thought good to do something nice with family as I was so much into 34C3 this three days. I'm thankful that they let me join the conference.
I'm happy to join to Chaos Computer Congress again.
3日目はZcashのファウンダーのZookoのトークがあるということでうきうきで行ってきました。90年代からこの分野の研究開発に長く関わっている人が仮想通貨の現状時をどう見ているか実際の通貨名なども交えて聞けたのはおもしろかったです。仮想通貨の高騰はいい面もわるい面もあって、検証には5年くらいかかるだろうけど、長期的には仮想通貨まわりの技術はとてもおもしろいパワフルなもの、投資はなくしてもいい額で、日本は仮想通貨の解釈や取引所の規制などで先行しているなどなど。詳しくは講演が動画で公開されているので気になる人はどうぞ：

Zookoといえば、最近Fortuneに長ーい記事がありました。年末年始のお休みの読み物におすすめです。

そのほか国際的な大企業の税金逃れに関するTaxationと、結構旅をするので聞きたいなと思っていたProtecting Your Privacy at the Borderを聞いてきました。前者は34C3の中でもっとも退屈なトークと・・・と言っていますが、どちらも楽しく聞きました。
それで、4日目はというと会場に行かずでした。というのも明日の31日は日曜日でお店が閉まってしまうので、元旦の分も含めて買い出しに行く必要があり、あとは34C3に快く送り出してくれたお父ちゃんと赤ちゃんサービスも兼ねて。
4日目はスキップしてしまったものの3日間でチケット代の100ユーロは十分もとがとれた感じです。また来年も参加できたらいいな :)
