Most of us on Leofinance are now counting minutes till PolyCub launches. I am doing that too, while listening to Khal at Crypto Maniacs podcast (recording from yesterday).
But I thought we have and will have plenty of PolyCub posts, both in anticipation and after the launch we expect in a few hours (as I write this). I'm sure I'll write my own posts on the topic, it is after all the hot thing happening these days in the Leoverse.
And I am as exciting as most people about the launch, the airdrop and the expected hype. I'll just be with my eyes and thoughts waay down the road, not at the hype days.
So, today, I'd like to talk about a milestone apparently I have reached yesterday: over 6500 comments made on Hive.
I've been on Hive for a little over 4 years. That would bring my average comments per day to somewhere between 4 and 5. It would have been better to be 5, but a little over 4 is ok.
I believe engagement is critical in what we are building here, the next generation blogging, social media and communities. This is part of why I love Listnerds, for its exceptional capacity to boost engagement on someone's post.
I admit this is a milestone I am pretty proud of. Much more than the fact that I distributed probably close to 90000 upvotes. But many of them were and are automated and come as a result of following a few curation trails over time.
While comments are all written by me, in many cases after reading the entire post, and occasionally the previous discussions too. That's a lot more valuable in my opinion than clicking an upvote button, even if you do it manually. Well, maybe if you are a whale we can give you a pass, lol.
Another milestone that goes hand in hand with comments is replies. Not so long ago I noticed I passed another level on the replies number, but never got to write a post about it.
Looking at hivebuzz.me, it seems I also replied over 6500 times.
It's interesting that the replies and comments are so well balanced. I do reply and upvote commenters on my posts, but I also vote and comment on other people's posts. Don't know how these numbers are so close, but that's interesting.
Haven't looked at hivebuzz stats in a long time. I'm discovering new things. Looks like I'm getting closer to my 1000th post too. Should get there very soon.
Now... back to counting minutes till PolyCub will be launched. :)
