Do you remember me trying this Jeep some days back to drive someone to an airstrip and then towards the Horizon Wilds stage? I was sad not to find the vehicle later as it was not mine, but I decided to buy this today and try it on some dirt races where I made a wild event wilder.
Today, it's about the Jeep Trailcat 2016.
When I finished the race first after making it dirty, I looked for a good place to show off the car, and I found this place on the roadside, where the tractor attracted me so I stopped there.
The car's roof, which should protect the driver from direct sun and rain, is not a proper roof. It's a temporary roof covered with a net fabric. And you can see how cool the car looks.
I bought it with 75k CR.
So let's try a proper event driving this car this time, shall we? And this event is popular with rally-cross enthusiasts, and this action-packed scramble climbs the side of the valley beneath the spectacular "Gran Puente" before crashing through the river on the return run.
I started the event from the fifth position when there were 12 racers, including me, and it's a 3-lap event. The car that was leading at first was the one I wished to buy, but it cost 850k CR when I bought mine with only 75k CR.
I already understood that my Jeep was the fastest in this event as I went ahead of the first racer in less than 15 seconds, and it looked like that racer just lost a lot of money on that slow car that should've been a lot faster than mine.
This was the first steep river that I passed on the route, and you can see I was a lot ahead of the others already.
I was at a good speed and I kinda messed up there on the very first hard turn, trying a drift. But my Jeep handled it well, so no one could get ahead of me.
I passed the first lap in 1:41 minutes when I noticed the other racers were a lot behind, so I understood there won't be much to say and it would be too easy for me, so I decided to do something.
There was this hard turn ahead where I could manage it easily, but I tried a hard drift intentionally and gave them a chance to compete with me.
Only that one racer went ahead of me, but she was too slow to hold the position. I went ahead of me right after that, and then I slowed down intentionally to give her another chance.
Look how I was messing up with the others, slowing down when I was already leading them. I was kinda bumping into most of the racers there and let all of them drive ahead of me.
Then I was speeding up again, falling to the last position, and I passed the second lap holding the 11th position.
And I started bumping on them again, and I noticed there was another Jeep Trailcat 2016 in the event, but I was the one messing up with them, lol.
And wait a minute. Do you see what I'm seeing? That's just two there, the developers just copied them and made them wear different dresses. Like seriously? They could at least make the same faces stand in different places.
Most of the cars were a lot ahead of me as I intentionally let them be, but then it was time for me to be serious, otherwise I'd end up losing the game.
I sped up and finished the event 1st at 5:16 min, though I guess I could finish it in 4 minutes if I was not being so messy today, lol.
