Being a good citizen involves more than just abiding by the law; it also involves having a strong sense of patriotism and an understanding of how essential it is to protect the environment, and being a good student involves more than simply getting good grades; it also involves taking easy steps to protect the environment.
As part of the activities in our school, we planted trees and organized a clean-up drive.
Tree Planting Activity
Does it even make sense to imagine a world without trees? You guessed it: Mother Earth has spent millions of years perfecting her most potent weapon in the fight against climate change—a tree.
Everyone is urged to conduct tree-planting activities in the school by instructing all students to plant participate. Tree planting is one of the most significant activities that aim to contribute to the efforts to combat global warming in the nation.
In accordance with the most recent Department of the Interior and Local Government Memorandum Circular 2016-133, this is in support of Republic Act 10176 and the government's Expanded National Greening Program.
According to the circular, "every single tree is regarded to be highly essential to battle global warming. Tree planting activity is one of the many techniques to safeguard the environment and is an effective strategy to reduce climate change.
The environmental objective of our institution is to explore contemporary issues and develop an environment-conscious intellectual community
We imparted life skills through tree planting. By taking care of the environment, the students learned responsibility. They also improved their interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and self-confidence. As students saw interactions between plants, the soil, and the weather, they also improved their powers of observation.
The benefits of trees to the ecosystem and humans as a whole are numerous. Since they have been shown to enhance general health and well-being, it is more crucial than ever to take advantage of natural resources.
Planting trees is very advantageous for educational settings; they can even be used as a useful addition to the curricula for younger students.
Children who have always had access to quality education in a formal setting are taught how planting trees would improve their quality of life.
Clean-Up Drive
Environmental stewardship will be developed and children will learn the value of reducing, reusing, and recycling to reduce the amount of garbage we make by taking part in a school grounds clean-up drive.
In addition to being a place for education, schools allow children to socialize and build skills that will benefit them in the future.
The significance of keeping the school clean cannot be understated when it comes to ensuring that it is a safe environment. The goal of maintaining cleanliness in schools is to give pupils a safe and healthy environment.
Schools not only transfer knowledge, but they also have a big impact on a person's personality. The entire educational setting serves as a source of knowledge, thus what a kid learns in school is not limited to what happens inside the four walls of a classroom.
A child's entire learning experience may be negatively impacted by a messy or untidy school setting. Children are better able to concentrate on the task at hand when schools are orderly and tidy.
Everyone, including teachers, is kept healthy and safe in a clean environment. The experience of the students can be impacted when teachers are absent because of an unclean school.
Beyond only how things appear, cleanliness in schools is really important. It may be considerably more significant and affect how well pupils are educated.
These are the reasons why we constantly emphasize to our students the value of preserving and caring for the environment. We always made sure to inform them of the importance of their involvement in all of these kinds of activities.
