Hello Hello people!
Sunday is here. When I grew up in the UK it was tradition that you had a Sunday Roast. It could be roast beef or roast lamb, then again it could be roast pork or roast chicken.
Sunday was a special day, if you went to church you wore your Sunday best! But whatever you did, you had a Sunday roast.
I love leftovers
It is something I still try to do. Because a roast dinner means lots of leftover material ready to make meals for Monday and Tuesday.
Today was no different. One thing about living in hot countries is you tend to not use ovens unless youreally have to, so roast dinners are limited!
Autumn in Scotland is an ideal time for a hot roast dinner. Especially as at this time of the year we have the most delicious baby potatoes.
Today then, I fancied roast chicken. There would be plenty leftover to make chicken based dishes on Monday and Tuesday!
Or so I fluffing thought!
The Wallet
Before we dox the wallet, let me set the scene....
Around noon I picked up my backpack, toddled out the door and walked down murder hill then up the other side towards the set of traffic lights that you see in the picture below.
It has been a pretty drab and grey weekend so when I felt that sun trying to poke its way through the drabness I had to take a picture.
So I duly did and that was the result.
I was wearing my black cargo pants with pockets on the side that I put my phone in on my left leg...
... and my wallet in on my right leg.
Phone check...
Wallet ... oh fluff no!!!
Another padding of me down and yes no phone on me and not in my backpack either...
So I went home, all my cards and cash were in my wallet. I haven't set any of the phone wallets up such that I can pay with my phone.
When I walked into the sitting room, there it was sitting as large as life on the table...
The numpty
Of course the numpty was me...
What was down right stupid is that I actually took the wallet out of my backpack and checked what was inside it. Then put the wallet down on the table exactly where you see it in the picture!
The Roast Chicken Dinner substitute
So when I got back in the house and saw the wallet, I was in two minds whether to walk back down to the shop.
How much did I really want that roast chicken....
Answer ... look in the freezer...
I had a chicken and asparagus pie but no baby potatoes.
There were chips and there were peas instead of brocolli.
So the numpty had made his mind up!
Just stay in and listen to the footy!
The Roast can be later in the week if I still want one!
Before all you kids say old age .....
This is not the first time I have done this, thank you very much you cheeky wee buggers!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful new week!
