Good day dear Hive community, first of all I would like to wish you a pleasant day and hope you are all well and your day was full of positive experiences! Today I would like to go into art history in more detail and hope you can learn something new.
Here are some pictures that I have created with the help of artificial intelligence and all of them have one thing in common, all should express impressionism. The origins of impressionism are in France and in was created at the end of the 19th century and the painter Claude Monet (1840 - 1926) is known as one of the formative pioneers of this art movement and is also often referred to as a transition between naturalism and symbolism. Other important artists of this era were Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet or Pierre-Auguste Renoir and the impressionism can be traced back to the Latin word impressio which means impression and it refers to shots of the moment and the focus of the works were not stories but sensual perceptions and it is about spontaneously capturing certain moments and improvising. As in naturalism, it is not about presenting artworks as realistically as possible and works are rather considered emotional or dreamy and the focus was on the events of the current moment.
It was also perfect that at this time the oil paints were also available in tubes and artists could transport them better to create their works in nature and this epoch has also influenced literature, music or photography. Artists who have made use of this style have often been inspired by nature and it can definitely be counted among one of the most important and formative art epochs in general. In literary impressionism, it was about merging closer to nature again and to represent special sensory impressions as well as emotions of the moment and it was not about expressing things objectively and the focus was more on small things that shaped the moment and for this short stories or poems were best suited. Especially here, certain perception of the senses was also often addressed here and of great importance was the individual as well as the subjective perception.
Thanks for taking the time to read through my post and I hope you like it and can learn something new about this interesting topic!
