I realize that I've been trying too hard. I had a visualization in my mind's eye of my beloved. I could feel the love that he was sending me. As I was going to send love to him, I received a message to just sit and feel the love. So I stopped sending love and just received his.
Then an amazing thing happened. I felt his love and the Universe's (All-That-Is). Waves of love emanating from all direction began to fill me. Tears came to my eyes; I felt a deep sense of healing and release.
I (and probably all of us) have felt before that I had to earn love, create it, etc. I felt that I had to DO something to bring love into my life. I now know that all I have to do is just receive it. Allow love into my life. How simple. How refreshing. I had been making it so complicated.
I used to feel undeserving of love and that I didn't have enough love in my life. Actually, I was not allowing love to enter my life. May we all stop trying and doing and ALLOW.

I second everything that you say and your realizations are quite true.
To add something about Love I would say the following: The first step towards the creation of reality, any reality, is indeed to allow the consciousness of All, a.k.a LOVE, to come into existence through you. But you should not stop there because then you are merely an energy holder. If you want to move energies, first and foremost for the benefit of yourself (being selfish), you should use your imagination to direct that love energy that you allowed.
Now, I want to clarify something about ALL THAT IS. It's a new-age concept, leading one to think that there is ONE consciousness to which we all belong to and therefore the purpose of life, Nirvana, is to reunite with that ONE. Well, I strongly disagree.
That leads to the understanding that the consciousness of love that I mentioned above is Yours! When I am saying *all the consciousness of All, a.k.a. love, I mean your own particular, specific soul self. You fall in love when you allow your soil self to come so close and reflect itself as another person. It's a very simple understanding. There is nothing outside of you and therefore, even a spouse, a loving human being, has to be a reflection of something within you. That *something" is your own consciousness of love.
Now, imagination is not visualization. The best way to decipher “imagination” is to say that it is a combination of feeling and certain states of awareness. That means the knowing of LOVE (based on self-love) and merging in the desired scenarios through feelings; It needs some practice. However, it's really simple after one sees one's successes.
Experience shows that merely observing the energies that one allows to come mostly leads to a static life. As humans, we tend and want to expand and create relationships, abundance, health etc. All that can only happen with the individual's active participation, which as I have said means directing and imagining.
That said, during your life, you will reach a certain level of existence, where the SELF is vibrating so strongly on higher levels, so the "directing" action that I mentioned happens as automatically and naturally as the breath itself.
And it all makes total sense. Think about it, if love, and being in love, is a natural state of being, your - and any other human's - birthright, then it should come easily. We should not work hard on finding a mate. Actually, the best indication that we are on a skewed path, is when we fight for love. Searching, pondering, doubting, struggling, trying, are all humans ways that emanate one thing - "I am not worthy of love". So, is there any wonder that so many people lack love in life? Whether they can't find the right person or they are stuck in an unloving relationship?!
