Hydroponic farming -- planting without the use of soil -- is becoming a big thing amongst my group of friends. One of the reasons is because one of our school alumni is actively promoting and marketing this solution. I find hydroponic farming fascinating.
Here are a few of the photos shared by my friends through my WhatsApp group.
The above picture shows very well the design of the hydroponic system being used.
According to this screenshot, an apartment dweller with a big enough balcony can benefit from this system. It looks clean, I agree. All the systems so far has a bucket at the end of it to capture the fertilizer liquid that is used to grow the plants. I'm pretty sure the water can be recycled, otherwise it should be designed to do absolutely that.
It's great to see that hydroponic gardening is accessible for any age group. A few of my friends are particularly inspired to see this elderly lady with her system in place. Way to go with healthy eating.
I'm posting these to hopefully one day have the priority and time to own one myself. I'm more interested in building the system that consists of PVC pipes; I wonder how this can be done with recycled items instead? I'm sure we can utilise plastic bottles and such for the same purpose, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would think along this line.
