This is when New Yorkers got together and demand to free Ahed Tamimi and all the Palestinian political prisoners when she just got arrested.
Sometimes you get what you demand! The teen activist Ahed Tamimi is freed from jail today!
This is what happened. 16 year old Ahed Tamimi just learned Israel forces shot her 15-year-old cousin Mohammed in the head at close range. Armed soldiers were coming into her home, so she slapped the solider who had entered the yard of her house. And that led to the 8 months arrest of this teen.
Upon her release Ahed said she was "extremely happy" to be "in the arms and embrace of my family" but added “My happiness is not complete without my sisters [Palestinian female prisoners], who are not with me. I hope that they will also be free”
