Bid Pay

I'm super stoked about BidPay.

When listers list a card they now have a new option to take some of the money that comes in and direct it to the people bidding on the auction. When someone overbids another bidder the original bidder gets paid based on how much they increased the overall auction amount.

The short of this, is that if you're a bidder on a bid pay auction you get PAID TO BID!

Why would a lister do this? Because you want action on your auctions from the start to the end, and you want people who feel encouraged to offer the highest amounts possible because they'll either get a competitive card at a fair market price or the bidder gets paid for the risk they took.

When you're listing cards this is a new option that'll show up.

As you can see as people are getting overbid a portion of the overbid is going back to the Bidder so that they get MORE MONEY THAN THEY BID! The more you increase the auction the more potential to earn you have! If you're the highest bidder you win the auction and the lister gets the auction price (after accounting for the bid pay and market fee).

MINIMUM BID PRICE INCREASES

You also have two new options to increase bid price. You can set a specific DEC amount that a bid must increase by in order to be registered in the auction or you can set a minimum PERCENT increase of DEC. If you're trying to make sure that incresing bids go up by size these tools are right for you.

PRIMA NOCTA - a reward for early big bidders

If you're the first bidder on an auction, and you win the auction half the fees go to you. This is sitewide, on all auctions, and it's meant to reward bidders who put in good bids early.
