So I tried to give an AI the synapsis, or a summary of a dream I once had, and this is what happened. First the synapsis:
Me, my lovely wife Vera and my sixteen year old son Leo and twelve year old son Miro were on a holiday cruise on a huge ship. We had booked a cabin at the upper A-deck. One day I accidentally met a girl who looked strikingly like my old childhood friend, Marika, who had sadly passed away a few years earlier. I heard the unnamed girl was traveling in the K-deck. When my family eventually met her in the restaurant deck later that night, the ship police came loudly demanding "why she wasn't in her designated cabin in K-deck" and took her away. People around us angrily murmured something about her being "one of the mutants".
(Just to clarify: In Finnish, the Covid19 virus back then was commonly called "korona" with a "K", hence the "K" in the "K-deck". They were lower class people, and practically prisoners there.)
I knew I had to explain to my family why, so I started with: "Remember a few years ago when that virus did rounds all over the world?"

Instruction to OpenAI: Expand this story to a full 10 chapter short novel.
Chapter One:
Jaro, Vera, Leo and Miro had been preparing for their holiday cruise for weeks. They had booked a cabin at the upper A-deck, where they would be surrounded by the lush comforts of sea life. The four of them were excited about the cruise, eager to explore the wonders of their destination.
But fate had other plans for them. On their first day onboard, Jaro accidentally ran into someone who looked strikingly like his old childhood friend, Marika – who had sadly passed away a few years earlier. He soon learned that the girl was traveling in the K-deck.
When Jaro's family eventually met her in the restaurant deck later that night, they were shocked by what happened next: The ship police came loudly demanding that she return to her designated cabin in K-deck. People around them began murmuring something about her being "one of the mutants."
Jaro knew he had to explain this strange event to his family, so he began with a simple statement: "Remember a few years ago when that virus did rounds all over the world?"
Chapter Two:
The virus Jaro was referring to was known as "Korona", and it had caused widespread panic throughout the world. It was particularly dangerous and deadly for those who didn't have access to proper healthcare, which meant it disproportionately impacted people in lower socio-economic classes.
The girl Jaro had encountered on board was one of those people – she was a survivor of Korona and therefore considered one of the “mutants” by society – those whose bodies had adapted to survive an otherwise deadly virus. She had been assigned to the K-deck because of this status – it was essentially a quarantine area on board where she could receive proper medical care if needed.
Vera, Leo and Miro listened intently to Jaro's explanation as he continued talking about how much hardship this poor girl must have endured over these past few years due to her status as one of the mutants; how she must have been separated from her family and friends; how she must have felt so alone and helpless even while surrounded by other people on board this ship.
Chapter Three:
The four of them decided they wanted to help this girl in any way they could – but before they could do anything else, they needed more information about her situation on board. So they decided to ask around discreetly among other passengers and crew members about any news or rumors related to Korona mutants on board.
Sure enough, word quickly spread throughout the ship about their inquiries and eventually someone approached them with information about one particular mutant residing on K-deck: Her name was Marika! It seemed almost too good to be true – here before them stood a living reminder of Jaro's old childhood friend Marika who'd passed away many years ago due to Korona virus!
Chapter Four:
With newfound hope in their hearts, Jaro and his family set out looking for Marika on K-deck together with two security guards from ship's personnel department – just in case things got out of hand during their search for her cabin number or if any other issues arose along the way.
After much searching around different cabins on K-deck (all while trying not to draw too much attention from others), they eventually found Marika’s cabin number – but it wasn't empty like they'd hoped; instead there were two police officers guarding it from outside! It seemed as if Marika wasn't allowed off K-deck without permission from higher authorities…
Chapter Five:
Despite being initially denied entry into Marika's cabin due to security concerns, Jaro managed (with some help) convince one of guards that his family simply wanted to check up on Marika’s wellbeing since none of them actually knew what condition she was in or how long she'd even been living inside this cramped space without contact with anyone else outside her cabin walls (other than occasional visits from police officers).
Finally given permission after much negotiation with both police officers outside Marika’s cabin door as well as higher authorities onboard (as well as promising not divulge any details regarding Marika’s whereabouts onboard afterwards), Jaro and family entered inside her room only find… nothing! There wasn't anyone inside! All personal belongings such as clothes or even food supplies were still there but no sign of Marika at all! Where did she go?

Chapter Six:
After some further investigation within K-deck cabins nearby (including asking around some other passengers), it became clear that somebody must have taken away Marika without any prior notice; perhaps due some kind of emergency occurred elsewhere onboard? But why would anyone take away an innocent person such as Marika from her own cabin? What could possibly be so urgent that even ship personnel couldn't wait until morning?
Meanwhile back inside their own A-Deck cabin, Vera, Leo and Miro waited anxiously while Jaro continued searching around K-Deck looking for answers regarding what might've happened with poor Marika...
Chapter Seven:
After hours spent searching around different cabins within K-Deck without any results nor clues regarding what might've happened with Marhka earlier that night (just when hope started running out), something extraordinary occured right before Jaro's eyes - he saw someone across hallway wearing same coat which he'd seen earlier worn by missing girl! He followed this figure into nearby elevator where he discovered that person wearing same coat is actually none other than... MARIKA!
In shock yet ecstatic at finally finding his long lost childhood friend alive after all these years apart, Jaro asked what happened earlier during their search - why did she suddenly disappear? In response, tears filled up behind eyes as Marhka told him entire story behind mysterious disappearance...
Chapter Eight:
According to Marhka, she had been secretly contacted by some people from higher authorities onboard few days earlier to assist on some kind of mission which seemed very much related to Korona virus. She was told that if she agreed to participate, she would be allowed off K-Deck once mission was completed - however, due to secrecy of this mission, she was forbidden from telling anyone about it including her own family and friends.
Feeling like there was no other option at the time (after all, getting off K-Deck seemed like an impossible dream for a Korona mutant like her), Marhka accepted offer and agreed to participate in this mysterious mission. She had been away for several hours now on top deck of ship with some other people, being briefed about their mission before setting out for unknown destination.
Chapter Nine:
The next morning, Jaro and his family all gathered together with Marika in one of A-Deck cabins (which Jaro had arranged with help from ship personnel earlier) and discussed everything they'd learned so far regarding mysterious mission Marika was involved in. According to her, the mission involved trying to find a cure for Korona virus by travelling far away from ship into some unknown location (which Marika wasn't allowed say or even hint at during their conversation).
Jaro and his family were both proud and worried at same time - proud that Marika had been given such an important task as well as worried that they might never see her again after she left onboard ship. However, despite all these feelings swirling around inside their hearts, they all knew what must be done: They said their goodbyes one last time before sending off Marika on her journey toward destiny and hopefully toward cure for Korona virus!
Chapter Ten:
Months later after Marika's departure from the ship, news spread throughout world about successful mission which she had participated in - a team of scientists managed to find a cure for Korona virus thanks to special sample which Marhka had brought back from unknown location few months earlier! This was one of most incredible scientific breakthroughs in human history!
As part of her reward for participating in this dangerous mission (which required great courage as well as intelligence), Marhka received new identity which allowed her start fresh somewhere else in world without having worry about being recognised or judged due her status as one of Korona mutants.
Meanwhile back on the cruise ship where it all started, Jaro's family continued enjoying rest of their holiday while thinking fondly about brave young girl who'd helped save millions of lives around world thanks courageous actions taken few months earlier...
I mean, it is a story, yes, but even if the spelling and grammar errors were gone, I'd say it still lacks a believable plot and trajectory. It is cohesive, but just cohesive enough. Character arcs seem nonexistent too.
This one was acceptable though. The previous revisions were full of huge plot holes like where Marika was being detained in his own cabin, and being escorted back to her own cabin. This was against even what was written in the synapsis, so I guess the AI can be quite conflicting at times.
Also, since she was my childhood friend, she should be somewhere about two younger than me, so not really a "young girl" anymore, like in the end of the story.

Anyhow. see you later. Tomorrow is a Go-club night, so I'll probably take a break away from the computer too.
