Many blockchain projects seem to be beginning to airdrop tokens to community members along with the ICO. As we see with the upcoming IQ tokens to EOS holders and ONT tokens to NEO holders, this establishes a fantastic system that rewards early adopters and grows the community. I work in community management for blockchain projects and see this done often. In my opinion, this trend will only continue and the airdrops will be even more frequent.
If you want to earn some crypto, this is a perfect way. It is fantastic for those of us who don't have a lot of money to buy crypto or take on the risk of participating in an ICO. For example, I participated in the Polymath airdrop and they gave out 250 POLY tokens to each participant. It is worth roughly $250 today. Just for participating in the airdrop. All you need to do is follow instructions and hear about the airdrops at the right time.
Recommendations before you begin signing up for airdrops:
- Use a secondary MEW/ Ethereum ERC20 address that is not associated with the majority of your funds (since anyone can see your ETH/ tokens holdings for a given address on the blockchain).
- Always double check that you are giving your Ethereum address NOT your private key
- Create a dedicated, separate e-mail
- Make a telegram account if you don't have one
- Make a twitter account if you don't have one
