Days later I joined the discord of the splinterlands community in spanish and despite not being a very active user or member in this, I think it has been one of the sites where I learned the most and above all where I found the motivation to continue playing, I remind you that I am not very gamer so it was hard for me to play daily, so if I wanted to improve it was essential to have feedback from people with more experience and invite some friends who could better understand the processes of TCG and strategy games, it is always better to "throw a lot" to the projects, besides that in the end I think what I have learned here is that this is about creating and strengthening a community.
A lot of that has happened, I had to be part of the lucky ones who received only cards in the rewards, of those who could reach champions with low level cards, those were times when there were no league locks or the power of collection so thanks to that I could achieve some champions points for the now SPS airdrop, I was also part of the Othermarker project, I think that's what it was called, where I was a part of the project "Othermarker", where I was able to get some champions points for the now SPS airdrop, I think that's how it was called, where they could delegate you an account and play by percentages, so I could capitalize better my time and I managed to buy cards without investing my money, I managed to buy beta summoners even an Alric Gold Foil level 6 at less than 15 usd per card, crazy, it was clear that it was something that I had to share with my closest circle of friends.

Hace un poco mas de 2 años y 144 días vi un post en Steemit donde invitaban a participar en un torneo de un juego llamado @splinterlands, el post era de @tashidelek, debo confesar que no me llamo tanto la atención por que no me considero una persona amante de los videojuegos, incluso el único videojuego del que era fan hasta ese entonces era Pokémon y no precisamente del TCG, si no de la línea principal de su juego de rol, así que no fue inmediata mi participación; días después escuche a unos amigos en una fiesta hablar de Magic mientras platicábamos de cosas banales y triviales, justo en ese momento, recordé el post de splinterlands y lo asocié, así que al día siguiente aunque despertara con resaca indagaría mas al respecto.
El día 05 de julio del 2019 entré, como todos, lo primero que hice fue pagar el acceso, eran 10 usd, afortunadamente la compra te daba el set de cartas beta comunes y raras, no solo un libro de hechizos con cartas fantasmas como ahora, cabe señalar que no tenía idea que estaría comprando mis primeros NFT´s, ni siquiera había escuchado el término que hoy es sinónimo de innumerables debates en las redes. A pesar de que el juego tenia solo unos meses, la verdad es que sentía que ya entraba tarde por que la expansión que se vendía en ese momento eran las Beta y la mini-edición Promo, los paquetes Alpha solo se podían conseguir en el mercado secundario, aún así el concepto se me hizo fascinante algo me dijo que no debía dejar pasar esa oportunidad. A medida que aprendía, cometía también muchos errores, como el gastar el Rate de Captura a mas del 50% sin saber que se regeneraba cada hora, el quemar cartas solo para saber que pasaba, elegir una mala composición de cartas, entre otras cosas, pero lo normal, creo, pero todo era parte de la curva de aprendizaje.
Días después me uní al discord de la comunidad de splinterlands en español y a pesar de no ser un usuario o miembro muy activo en esta, creo que ha sido uno de los sitios donde mas aprendí y sobre todo donde encontraba la motivación para continuar jugando, les recuerdo que no soy muy gamer entonces me costaba mucho jugar diario, así que si quería mejorar era indispensable tener feedback de gente con mas experiencia e invitar a algunos amigos que pudieran entender mejor los procesos de TCG y juegos de estrategia, siempre es mejor "echarle montón" a los proyectos, aparte que al final creo que lo que mas he aprendido aquí es que esto se trata de crear y fortalecer una comunidad.
De eso ha pasado mucho, me toco ser parte de los afortunados que recibían solo cartas en las recompensas, de los que podíamos llegar a champions con cartas de bajo nivel, eran tiempos en los que no existían los candados de liga o el poder de colección así que gracias a eso pude lograr algunos puntos champions para el ahora airdrop de SPS, también fui parte del proyecto Othermarker, creo que así se llamaba, donde podían delegarte una cuenta y jugar por porcentajes, así pude capitalizar mejor mi tiempo y logré comprar cartas sin necesidad de invertir mi dinero, logré comprar invocadores beta incluso un Alric Gold Foil level 6 a menos de 15 usd por carta, una locura, estaba claro que era algo que tenía que compartirlo con mi circulo mas cercano de amigos.
Una de las capturas que conservo del juego de la primera vez que llegue a plata 3, lo curioso es que en ese entonces las recompensas no eran cofres si no cartas (éramos felices y lo sabíamos)
Pero de todos mis amigos que invite solo dos no creyeron que estaba completamente loco, y creo que no hubo ninguno al que no le dijera, fueron solo @davinzho y @leizerstark los que entendieron el potencial y vieron la matrix y lo que mas gusto me da es que siguen en proyectos de play to earn y nft gaming aumentando sus ingresos día con día.
Debo aclarar que durante esos meses, aun que el juego no era lo que es ahora, el retorno de inversión era muy bueno, incluso cuando las cartas estuvieron en su piso mas bajo y el dec no pasaba de 0.0009 usd, pero también habían rachas de incertidumbre donde no sabía si el juego podía evolucionar para bien o que pudiera tener la solides necesaria para captar inversionistas y nuevos jugadores así que estuve tentado en vender mi colección de cartas varias veces (que bueno que no lo hice o no del todo) incluso en diciembre del 2020 creo que fue el mes donde estaba completamente decidido a vender al menos la mitad de estas por que necesitaba comprar una cámara de video para crear contenido de mi proyecto musical y mi sello discográfico, y sí, se vendieron algunas, creo que @ritch fue uno de los que me compro mas cartas.
El hecho de vender algunas cartas me desmotivó un poco a seguir jugando y sumando que mi trabajo convencional y la música requerían de mi total atención, deje de jugar durante un tiempo, me alejé un poco hasta que conocí el servició de bots de @vcdragon, gracias a su servicio logré darle circulación a ese capital "parado", obviamente la tasa de victorias disminuyó pero los ingresos pasivos eran increíbles y no tenía que dedicarle tiempo mas que a administrar el bot, antes de que pienses lo peor, si, los bots y multicuentas están permitidos hasta ahora en splinterlands, no pasa nada, incluso soy fiel creyente que aunque sea en un porcentaje pequeño esos bots influyeron en que splinterlands llegara a ser lo que es ahora, los usuarios con mas tiempo no me dejaran mentir que antes, lograr hacer un match en duelos tardaba algo de tiempo, los bots le dieron vida al juego, nadie quiere estar en un juego donde no haces match y no puedes jugarlo.
A partir de los bots y los ingresos pasivos, todo lo reinvertía, no conservé el dec pero si compré cartas, hasta el punto de sumar mas de 250,000 puntos de colección, llegue a tener mas cartas de las que podía usar así que compre 4 cuentas mas y se las delegué para acumular mas dec y así comprar mas cartas, fue entonces cuando sucedió lo inesperado pero que todo jugador de splinterlands anhela, el premio mayor, una legendaria dorada en los cofres de recompensa.
Repito, no podíamos creer lo que estaba pasando, estábamos contentos, mi inversión había hecho x60 aproximadamente y para agregarle una cereza al pastel, el 18 de agosto del 2020 en el cofre de recompensa de una de mis cuentas en bronce 3 le toca el premio mayor, apenas había pasado un mes y ya tenía otra dorada legendaria, lo que sumaron 100k puntos de colección a mi mazo, muy buenos para el airdrop.

En primera compartir mi felicidad, splinterlands ha cambiado mi vida; a mi me encanta y me apasiona la música, pero es muy difícil vivir de la música en México por lo que siempre he recurrido a un trabajo convencional para ir a la par, para que solvente mis gastos y sobre todo la calidad de vida que se merece mi familia, no había dimensionado lo mucho que me ha ayudado este juego hasta ahora, hace dos meses me despidieron de mi trabajo por cambio de administración, y lo que apuntaba a ser un momento de angustia y que en otras circunstancias me hubiese agobiado, fue mas como una señal de libertad, por que ya estaba ganando de forma pasiva mas de lo que ganaba en mi trabajo y eso se resume en que ahora puedo dedicarle tiempo de calidad a lo que realmente me apasiona, que es la música; y segunda, quiero ayudar y sumar, esta es nuestra nueva normalidad, el play to earn y el nft gaming es un fenómeno como freezer, aun no hemos visto su forma final, y es cierto, puede ser un villano, pero también puede ser quien te rescate en el momento mas oportuno como en Dragón Ball super.
