To continue my journey of reading books in Spanish, I’m currently on the second Harry Potter book—Harry Potter y la Cámara Secreta (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets).
What I find interesting is how my Spanish varies depending on the context—whether I’m speaking, reading fiction, or studying the Bible. Each situation reveals a different level of fluency. While reading this novel, I’ve come across words and expressions that I’ve never seen before, even when reading articles in Spanish. It really highlights how complex and layered a language can be. Of course, liturgical texts are far more advanced than everyday conversation, but it’s still rewarding to recognize the richness and depth of the language I grew up with.
I'm glad that I've taken this route to expand my Spanish and Latin literacy.
