Every now and then I read a post that truly inspires me. Truly inspires me to write a reply. That happened last night with @taskmaster4450 post: How Committed Are You To Making Hive The Best That It Can Be?.
Below are two paragraphs from his post that really struck home with me, well the whole blog post did but these two paragraphs got my brain going.
"Full commitment means success no matter what. It takes on the connotation of being willing to keep going until the desired result is met. This means setting incredible targets and going after them. In the mind, nothing is going to stand in the way.
Compare this to the average person. This individual excels at excuses. We see it on a daily basis. It is much easier to complain about things as opposed to getting something accomplished."
So you know I had to reply:
"The grass is always greener...
What I went though at the beginning of 2022 to purposely change. Into Mr. Positive.
I hated my job, I hated my life. I was pushing though Hive.
I had a life changing moment.
I was forced to do some training at work. Cardone University training. Love Grant Cardone or hate him it does not matter. When I watched what he had to say about commitment it changed my outlook on life.
Basically, to paraphrase, it is not your job, it is not the people around you, the problem is that you are not committed.
Once you commit yourself 100 percent things will change.
I jumped into the deep end. I determined I was going to be the best version of myself I can be.
I became Mr. Positive. Here on Hive, and in life in general.
I now love my job, love my life, even with what I have going on [my regular readers know my story). And I love Hive more than I ever did.
Mr. Cardone was correct. It was me, I was the problem.
I now have the greenest grass.
I am excelling at work, in my personal life and on Hive.
Commitment. I got this. You can also."
That reply was almost a full blog post in length for me. As you can see Mr. Positive is still alive and well.
I hope you can find some motivation in what Task had to say and in my reply.
Bathroom building.
I promised updates.
So what in the world are these three pics? I had a challenge with the new jetted jub. The overflow and the drain. As you can see, do to wanting the tub directly on the floor a joist got in the way of the overflow going strait down. I was not about to cut structure. So I had to get creative. I had to turn my overflow a bit and redo the plumbing so the overflow met the drain.
In the first pic I thought I had it done but I had forgotten the P trap. So I spent more time reworking it and finally success. Another big step done in the new bathroom for my wife :)
My Hive-Engine Node. Yes I bought my two WorkerBee and staked them this morning.
I better get ready for work. And I thought I had nothing to write this morning. Gotta Thread this and send it in ListNerds.
