The fruit may have some seeds, usually less than 6, given the poor color and flavor, the juice should be mixed with better quality juice from later maturing oranges.
Its main advantages are the fact that it ripens early, especially in cold areas where there is the possibility of frost, its low seed content and remains on the tree after ripening, and almost no seeds. Early variety and good adaptation to the low tropics.
On the other hand, the Pineapple orange variety is grown mainly in subtropical countries. In citric countries, it is characterized as a variety with a large number of seeds (20 or more) and a low juice yield.

It is an important variety for fresh consumption because of its very thin peel that makes it easy to peel, its high juice content and its great sweetness. The fruit is medium sized, almost round and has a thin rind, quite smooth and of good color.
