US e-commerce giant Amazon has announced that it will recruit 100,000 new staff in the US to meet the growing demand for online shopping with the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) outbreak.
In the blog post written by Amazon Senior Vice President for World Operations Dave Clark, it was noted that there was a significant increase in demand for e-commerce with the Kovid-19 outbreak, and it required labor.
In the sharing, it was reported that 100 thousand new personnel will be employed to work full and part time to be employed in warehouse centers and distribution network in order to meet the said increase in demand.
In addition, the company stated that the company will make an investment exceeding 350 million dollars to increase the salaries of the employees, it is noted that the wages of the employees in the USA will be increased by 2 dollars per hour, the employees in the UK will be increased by 2 pounds and the employees in many European countries will be increased by 2 euros.
