Amazon's is sparking in the world of social networking with it newly created social networking app called Spark.
It's a shopping app presented as a new feature that aims at enhancing the product discovery through stories and photos on an Instagram-like app, where customers can post stories, ideas, images, and videos showcasing products they loved on Amazon.
This feature isn't available on the website, it's only available only through the Amazon app. To get started, on the original Amazon app go to the “Program and Features” section, then select Amazon Spark.
Amazon spokeswoman:
We created Spark to allow customers to discover - and shop - stories and ideas from a community that likes what they like, When customers first visit Spark, they select at least five interests they'd like to follow and we'll create a feed of relevant content contributed by others. Customers shop their feed by tapping on product links or photos with the shopping bag icon.
Amazon users on social media called this service a mix of Instagram and Pinterest with a touch of e-commerce.
Many industries are realizing that social networking is the best way for marketing.
