Kittens need to spend most of their time with their mothers. All the time with this parent, they create a very special bond. Kittens not only look exactly the same physical form, but they also often act similarly to the mother. These mini-sized kittens are more adorable. usually the mother cat gives birth to three to five children in one labor, and often each kitten has a different fur pattern between the parent and siblings. This is because the mother is impregnated by more than one male cat, in one ovulation period. This phenomenon is known as heteropaternal superfecundation.
In this phenomenon what happens is fertilization of egg cells by sperm cells that come from different males. So each kitten is a mother's twin sister but has a different father.
This phenomenon does not only occur in cats. Other mammals also experience it, such as dogs, cows, and even though it is very rare, humans.
