Hi Steemians,
I’m an amateur self taught painter but enjoy trying to learn through experience and enjoy the ride. My main use of medium is acrylics, recently I’ve been expirimenting with different additives from water and glazing liquid to UV paint.
I started this painting about two nights ago, right now I’ve been influenced in finding the form within the void. I used to put a lot of focus into pre-planning my paintings, but due to the fact that I’m self taught and have only been painting for 2 years consistently.. that would tend to make my craft more frustrating and I would hit artist blocks way too often, and not paint as frequently as I felt I should be.
So I’ve been focusing on being more free with my ideas, and carve them out as I go and be content with learning in the process, starting over, covering up, mistakes are just learning experiences.
Since starting this I’m getting a lot of progress done more quickly because I can get lost in it more easily.
How do you get into your creative state? Is there always an order or do you like to experiment with variables?
:)
