I had been wanting to try some art that was incorporating silhouettes. I also wanted to practice watercolor some more, and this was the final result. I'm not completely happy with it, as I feel the tree is a bit smaller than I wanted and a little bit off center. But it's just one of those things that happens and you only notice after the paint has already dried!
I spent a week at a silent monastery in KY and completed this while I was there.
