I have checked my files in order to determine when exactly I created this. This information is more interesting for me than it is for you. It seems it was in December 2012.
Back then I also considered getting a tattoo, in which case it would have had to be designed by me, naturally. The Vajra came to mind.
Vajra is a Sanskrit word meaning both thunderbolt and diamond. Additionally, it is a weapon won in battle which is used as a ritual object to symbolize both the properties of a diamond (indestructibility) and a thunderbolt (irresistible force). (Source: Wikipedia)
It represents firmness of spirit and spiritual power.
In 2013, I was contacted by someone from a school, somewhere in Nepal. They asked if they could use my Vajra as the base for their logo. I consented.
Back to 2018
I have decided to revisit my old drawing and recreate it, or rather, to create something new, this time not inspired by the Vajra, but by my own drawing and design of it.
Stay tuned!
