Here is a portrait I made in my abstract style color which took me years to master

First I draw the structure of head with as much detail as possible to establish the base for putting the base color

Second step is to lay down Colors beneath those lines and deciding the color scheme and background of the image

And then the rest of the details

After a little color correction
