As part of the Unzip series, curated by James Yuxi Cao, an immersive audiovisual projection environment was created at Three Legged Dog (3LD) in NYC.
I performed “Headgames,” an Interactive audiovisual score at Unzip. Headgames involves custom software being controlled by wireless handheld sensors and a head-mounted camera. The video is being produced by my body’s movement, and the sound is generated by what is being projected on the screen.
The goal is to position the body in relationship to the screen to find different points of balance in the signal. Through careful positioning, a relationship is formed between the body, the camera and the screen.
