Here's a small character design project I'd like to share.
This was a personal project of mine that started from a little doodle from my sketchbook. I would call this primarily an exercise in trying out a new vector building process in Adobe illustrator as taught by my friend Von Glitschka.

As you can see, and this seems to be the case with a lot of my art, that the final art evolved from the original sketch pretty significantly.
I tend to start with a basic idea and instead of just tracing the drawing exactly as it is, I take some liberties throughout the process in order to improve the overall design as I go.
Although this tends to lengthen the time it takes to create art, I genuinely believe it produces the best results. At least for me. :)
