My favorite artist is Salvador Dali because when I was attending freshman year of high school, the librarian was promoting Dali’s autobiography. But more importantly, in the back of the library, there were duplicates of his surreal paintings hanging up on the wall. And they’re fantastic.
One of the most popular Daliesque paintings that appealed to me was "The Persistence of Memory".
And so, anytime I take a hard look at that painting, it reminds me of the first time I was actually influenced by surrealism, which was from Salvador Dali, who was truly like, among the first artists to challenge social norms in the 1900's, during my freshman year of high school.
And that’s why I am inspired by Salvador Dali.
