Hello !
I'm sitting here challenging myself to make this post inside 30 minutes. That won't count my already loading of the photos. I don't know why it takes me so long, but sometimes it does. I sometimes know some of what I want to say, but not all. I get the photos in, put some words, try to proofread and then get it posted. Sounds so simple ! Sometimes though, it still seems to take me forever!
Instead of sliding photos over one at a time, I chose all I wanted to use and opened them here all at once. I told myself for 2 seconds that I would let them fall as they may and whatever photo landed on top, THAT would be the cover photo... but.... it put the cluttery photo first and for real, no way that was going to stay. LOL Oh well.
This is one of my average type pieces, 5x7 on a canvas board. I don't know when I started it originally, but it got to a point and then I left it and later, days or a week or two I added something else, but it still wasn't finished even though I thought it was and last night I added more. For real, it's finished now, for the better or the worse of it.
Of course coffee is a must and it was all the funner because I was sipping it from a mug my sister gave me by surprise one day last year. No reason for the gift except to brighten my day. Those type gifts feel like a little extra love when given for no particular occasion. I'm sure I showed it back when I first got it. It is keeping me company this morning though, so I'm showing it again !
This is the photo the Hive thingy chose for my cover photo. Nice try Hive program.... but no ! This is what my desk looked like. I could have started my post earlier if I had not had to clear this mess, just to have a place to sit my water tumbler, yogurt and babybel. Tragic right? LOL What kind of person lets their desk get like this??? I might not really want to know.
About the clutter above, as I have gotten older and after living alone so long, I have found that I allow myself to do what I "want" to do many times over what I "should" do, considering what is at hand around here. I don't know if it is a deterioration of my mind or just the determination of freedom.
Did I almost make that sound like it could be a good thing??
This is just a piece of wonky, very tiny scrap art. Weird, right? Maybe one day it will become part of something greater. I think you need to brush that hair off your screen that is showing on the left of my art. Go ahead, I'll wait.
Talk about a Dud ! Another one I began weeks ago and have stopped and added additional things here and there. I called it finished last night, not because I finally made it good, but because I refuse to try to figure it out anymore. Although it is colorful and abstract and has a few neat points of interest, some pieces were just meant to be Duds.
Of course if you are looking at it right now and you think it is the best thing you ever saw me create, then... it's not really a Dud, I was just kidding. 😂
