Hello everyone, In these troubling times when we all could use a little extra money and are scrambling about pursuing the next big thing that will help us get ahead in this life, we must not forget that any thing can be lost or taken away from us. And that this existence is just a passing thing, gone so quickly!
As a believer in Jesus Christ, I would not be doing my duty if I didn't remind everyone that there is also much more to invest in, our eternal salvation.
Matthew 6:19-21King James Version (KJV)
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
SINNER’S PRAYER
The Sinner's Prayer (also called the Consecration Prayer and Salvation Prayer) is an evangelical Christian term referring to any prayer of repentance, prayed by individuals who feel convicted of the presence of sin in their lives and have the desire to form or renew a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. (referenced from wikipedia)
Saying the sinner's prayer is simply a way of declaring to God that you are relying on Jesus Christ as your Savior. There are no "magical" words that result in salvation. It is only faith in Jesus' death and resurrection that can save us. If you understand that you are a sinner and in need of salvation through Jesus Christ, here is a sinner's prayer you can pray to God: (referenced from Got questions.org)
"God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone
as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!"
(referenced from "One To One Witnessing For Christ... Made Simple") author Moray L.W.H. McGuffie
If you said this prayer and believe it with your heart,"Praise God! Welcome to the family, brother or sister!"
It is important you start reading the Bible and praying every day. You need to begin the life-long process of growing in your faith and developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
