Hello Steemians! Happy June!
About Me:
My name is Kawthar. I'm a 20-something college student, artist, amateur photographer, food lover, and newbie Steemian/blogger. I love learning and exploring new creative outlets and this diary of sorts to document 1 year of my life doing just that.
My Purpose:
I'm starting this journal as way to document my creative process, projects, ideas, and thoughts for a year. I want to do this to have something to look back at. I want it to be a visual record of my process. An accomplishment to look back at and say I did that.
The Media:
I plan to use any media I chose that day. This journal is to capture the day to day process organically. I will film, take pictures, write, draw, spill my thoughts, etc. This is a record of my day-to-day. And because day-to-day is forever changing and unexpected, this journal will be too.
Goal:
I hope through this diary, I can push my self and the limits of my creativity. As well as to find my true artistic calling(callings?).
My Comfort Zone:
Committing to something like this is way way way out of my comfort zone. I tend to not be able to consistently keep up with things and I get burnt out pretty quickly. Hopefully this journey will teach me to push through the burnout and embrace it as a part of the process. A necessary, contributive part of the process and not just a hindrance.
Perfectionism:
I also want this diary to be a means of defeating my desire for my art to be perfect before I can share it. I tend to never want to share my work until I feel like it's good enough. I always want to hide it until I feel like it's up to par. I don't want to do that anymore(at least about some of my work). I want to share more because I feel like there is beauty and awesomeness in the works in progress as well. This diary gives me 365 days to prove that to myself.
Completion:
My goal for completing the challenge is to take it day by day. And to look a the day to day commitments as cumulative effort to complete the whole challenge.
This Community:
I would love to have you guys read along on my journey. I'm doing this first and foremost for myself, but I am publishing it because a sole part of my mission is to share more. And what better place to do that than on an online blogging platform, right?
