Hello everyone!
I'm back with my post of the day. This time it's significantly later than my last two posts but whatever! I still made it before the day ended! So there! Lol.
I want to show you all a few animal drawings I've done in recent months. Animals are crazy fun to digital paint and these three didn't take me much time at all to draw! Just to show you what else I have up my sleeve when it comes to drawing subjects. I have a few others that I've done as well but I'll save that for another post later on in the near future. Can't give away too much otherwise I'll run out of things to show you and then you'll have to wait for me to draw new things! And how terrible would that be? Lol.
First up is a Grizzly Bear drawing I did in about 15 minutes. I drew this for a weekly instagram contest where the topic was bears. It was my first go at drawing a bear and I think I did pretty well! Using a hard brush and just kind of layering the different colours of the fur in quick strokes seemed to pay off. Lol.
Next is a Zebra drawing I did as a commission for someone. Just a quick little speed painting that took me like.. maybe 45 minutes from start to finish. This one was a little tougher to try to get the proper texture of the body and the stripes. But I'm happy with it!
And last but not least is a drawing I did for my Father as a Christmas gift this past year. It's of his dog, Shadow, who had passed away a few months prior. A dog he's had since he was a puppy and was his best friend. My whole goal with this drawing was to make my Dad cry, because since the man never cries, I consider tears a little victory for me. And I succeeded! And in turn he made all of us cry. XD My Dad is really sentimental so I figured he'd appreciate something from the heart rather than something I could buy him at the store. Besides, he's so difficult to shop for so it was really the better option for me anyways.
And there you have it! Some animal drawings! What do you think? :D
Until next time! :)
