Julien Nonnon invites us to a new digital and poetic safari, not in the streets of Paris this time, but in those of Hong Kong!
Hong Kong Lumières is Lyon's Festival of Lights in Hong Kong and it's among a selection of national and international artists that Julien Nonnon, a fan of street-mapping, has created a poetic and ephemeral event on the walls of the city metamorphosed into projection screen, during three nights from 23 to 25 November 2017. Thus, on the occasion of the Chinese New Year festivities, the artist delivers his latest opus: Safari Urbain - HK Zoodiac Series.
Thanks to its mobile projection system, he created ephemeral digital frescoes, illuminating the buildings and facades of the city's emblematic neighborhoods. With his half-man, half-animal characters directly inspired by the signs of the Chinese zodiac, he plays with the codes of Hong Kong fashion, in a surprising mix of street art, digital art and live performance.
