Hello guys!
It's been quite a while I held a pencil to spark creativity. Time is one very important factor that has been challenging for me. I try to find the time but it beats me, every now and then. Well, activities have been on a minimal level for me recently, so, I took advantage. I decided to go about this drawing to test my hands.... Hehe. I guess it went out well.
This is a pencil drawing of Sergio Ramos. He is a professional footballer playing for Real Madrid of Spain as well as a team member of Spain. He plays in center back position. This has earned him the title of one of the best defenders in the world.
The materials used are:
- Graphite pencils (HB, 6B)
- Charcoal pencil
- Cardboard paper (white)
- Q-tip
- Eraser
PROGRESS SHOTS
The first drawing here is the outline. Just finding a way to get the shape of the eyes and mouth. HB pencil provides a thin tone for easy erasing if any mistake is made.
This is done with 6B pencil. 6B provides a dark tone. I also shaded with it. The blending of the shaded parts is done with the Q-tip.
Now is the beards. Little strokes and some shading.
I completed the mouth here.
At this stage. I made a connection between the ear and the head/hair. The beard is still under construction. Using the charcoal pencil mostly.
There you have it. The final piece.
