Hello and good day fellow steemians!!
Today I am writing a post where I am reaching out to you in the hope that some of you would let me paint your portrait!
The past few months I've been craving new faces to paint but for now the only model whos available is.. myself. Which is fine sometimes, but there are only so many self portraits you can paint before you go a bit crazy...
SO!
My question to you guys is;
Can I paint your portrait, please?
The only thing you have to do is follow these simple steps and upload a photo in the comments section!
Simple rules that qualifies a photo to be painted;
- Take the photo without flash.
- Take the photo in eye level, meaning no photos from high or low angles.
- Preferably the lightsource is natural light / daylight.
- The photo needs a monochrome background. Any color will do.
- No smiling with theeth. ( I hate painting teeth!)
Here are some random photos that I found online that are good examples of great pictures to create painting from;
Like you can see here, they all have a soft natural lught which gives them a good value range, they have monochrome backgrounds, they all are looking at you in eyelevel and no smiles with teeth, hehe!
And just because these are all young and female does NOT mean you have to be to submit a photo, hehe! I love all faces and find them an interesting subjectmatter no matter young, old, male or female.
To give you an idea of the style and way I usually paint my portraits here I've gathered up some examples for you;
So I was thinking that after I've painted a portrait I will write a post about it where I share the process behind the finished product and my thought as I was painting it. I think this will be a fun way to get to know a few of you guys better and to get myself painting some more portraits!
I will obviously tag the person that I paint and 50 % of my earnings from the post will go to the model! :)
This is important though!
If you send me a photo and let me paint it you give me the right to use your photography to create, sell and reproduce my own artistic expression!
So what do you guys think?
Have you ever been a model before?
Have you ever been painted before?
I hope some of you will be up for the challenge and if you have any questions of course feel free to ask! :)
