I started a new month in my doodle calendar. May was all about those black-and-white doodles and patterns and now, in June, I've decided to go back to color.
And I'd forgotten that I'm not good at it.
I've always had trouble with colors. I'm able to see and identify them all around me, sometimes I even stop in the middle of what I'm doing just to admire a beautiful color combination.
But when I'm drawing, all of that goes out the window. I've spent so many hours learning how to make a good color combination but when it comes down to actually doing it, my drawings come out muddy and lifeless. That's why I prefer drawing in black and white most of the time.
But, hey, in my birthday month, why not come out of my comfort zone?
