Hey, Everyone!
All my students are creative in their own way but not all of them are confident enough to make their ideas the center of our lessons. They usually agree to whatever I've prepared for them.
Not this one, though! She (let's call her Annie (9)) came to the lesson with the biggest smile and said "I don't know what you want us to do today but this is what I want to draw." And then she explained her idea - a portrait with half of it in black and white and the other half in color.
Well, how do you say "no" to such an enthusiasm?
We only had time for one of the picture's halves. We talked a lot about shading and contrast, the direction of the hatching and the structure of the face itself. And even though Annie was tired from school and the day was exhaustingly hot, she did a great job!
And, of course, I used the opportunity to draw something of my own. I'm very proud of it (especially the hair), it's been ages since I'd shaded something realisticly!
❤️❤️❤️ I hope you like it! ❤️❤️❤️
