Day 6 of the daily drawing challenge
I actually did not miss a day of drawing, but I did miss a day of posting it.
I was so low energy yesterday, I could barely get out of bed. Partly because my dogs are only offering me 3 hour stretches of sleep through the night, partly because I'm finally getting over my cold, and partly because I'm trying to hammer through a particularly dark part of my WriMo novel.
So yesterday, I broke out the watercolors and remembered a lovely bit of macrophotography that I wanted to draw, which helped brighten up my day a bit.
This was my inspiration

He has two more pictures of his "Friendly Ladybird" and I received his kind permission to use his photograph here. Here is a different angle with a close-up of the ladybug.
I used watercolors and my black sharpie.I was hoping for more vibrant colors but...it's watercolors, I suppose I have to expect it to be a little "washed out"(sorry, pun intended)

Since I've been doodling, drawing, painting, and generally making a mess out of my small work table, my husband said I needed to sign my pieces.

I have to admit is was very strange to sign and date my work.
First of all, my signature is way long and writing ML in my script is kind of big. I have to admit that I do like my cursive M, so that will be my marker, I suppose. It still feels weird!

And here I am posing with the final piece.
