Demo from tonight. With this painting that'll wrap it up for this semester in my digital painting class. One more week of school then I'll be on winter break. I think I'll do more paintings over the break. I feel like I've got the bug. I go through spells of bouncing around between primarily wanting to draw, paint or do 3D work. I'm in the painting mood these days.

Needed to go pretty quick on this so I chose to keep a lot of the painting pretty loose. The time you save from rendering is balanced by being really specific in the shapes that you choose to represent the forms. If those aren't well designed, things just end up looking like mush.
Here's how the process went.
Earlier today I listened in on the State of Steem forum. It was cool to see all the people there, but to be honest it was a bit worrisome to me hearing all the different things all the different people thought was the best way forward for Steem.
It was a bit worrisome to me because there was a lot of talk about building businesses on the blockchain and monetizing this or that, but there was not as much as I would have hoped concern for the average content creator or consumer. There was attention paid to onboarding initiatives, which I think is great. I think Onboarding and user experience should be the top priorities actually. I think a focus on business now is putting the cart before the horse, and I think people that are freaking out about the price are maybe reacting a bit too emotionally.
If Bitcoin drops Steem will drop, and if Bitcoin pumps Steem will pump. It's not something we're doing or not doing that is the PRIMARY reason behind the Steem price. I'm sure it's a factor, just not the main one. Anyway, that's probably worth it's own post, but those were some of my major takeaways.
Any of you tune in? What were your thoughts?
Thanks for looking!
