One of my biggest passions (and obsessions at one point) was documenting New York City graffiti art and its culture. Over time I stopped going out conducting interviews and shooting pictures. But it hasn’t stopped my appreciation for the art.
I wanted to share some of the images I’ve taken throughout the years with you - the Steemit community. I’ve got over 50,000 images cataloged. To release them all would probably take me 6 months. So my strategy will be to feature artists and curate images into categories.
First this inaugural post - I’d like to introduce to a graffiti crew named YMI. The members have changed over time, and some of the members aren’t originally for NYC. But they did some AMAZING work over the years.
Their work is almost impossible to describe and even if you were able to describe it, you’d sound like a crazy person!
