Good Afternoon, STEEMIANS!

Christmas day is approaching rapidly...just 10 days to go! It's amazing how 2018 just swooshed by and a good year for me! No major upheavals, no dramas... although a few annoyances that I got over swiftly. There's still 16 days to go though and I expect the year to end on a high.

Tell me in the comments: how was your year?

This painting occurred from a deep need to paint/create which I hadn't done for weeks. It's like an addict needing a fix and I needed do quell the passion bubbling up inside me. I grabbed my tools and began with nothing specific in mind: just fell into paint mode.

For some inexplicable reason, this is what manifested: DUPPY!

First came the painting then the title.
I stared at the strange face and tried to comprehend where this unearthly creature came from: like who are you and why are you in my field of creativity. Then I remembered when I was a child, Jamaicans told tales about this scary creature that haunted good people. ( Duppy, originated from the Caribbean meaning ghost or spirit.) I felt this portrait was a bit haunting, ergo the title, DUPPY
