Good evening everyone! =D I just wanted to share with you this process of creating Durotan. I hope you guys enjoy!! _
It took me 16 hours to complete this :).
Step 1. Alrighty... just like everything else that I do I ALWAYS start with a sketch. :) This is to begin the framework and start to put together some sort of foundation. so... messy messy....
Step 2. Here is when I refine the lines, redraw redraw redraw! Till you get what you need, if you dont have a good foundation the rest is gonna look the same.... not good.
Step 3. Next I paint underneath my lines. Still trying to find colors and shadows to the best of my ability.
Step 4. Here I have filled everything in and I have begun overpainting parts! Thats when I create a new layer over top and start picking out highlights and details :)
Step 5. Here you can see that I have begun detailing parts here and there! this is a very long process... from the last step to this one hours have passed.
Step 6. Here is a great step! but... it lacks its not detailed like I want it. Between here and the last step there was at least another 3-4 hours.
