Renata Chaotic
An original piece by world renowned artist @PLUSE
This piece was originally inspired by a 3D painting I saw while working my residency in BOSTON Mass USA. It was a pivotal moment in my art career and one that challenged me to push the boundaries of what could be possible .
For the longest time I've always kept the paint residue from leftover pieces that I've worked on. I knew there would come a day when I could finally put them to good use. In addition to the gold background, dry paint was taken from dried up color pallets and used for the hair in this piece.
I love conformity and unity so I didn't want to add too much detail to the face in this piece to better match the simplicity of her hair. The hair blends perfectly with the minimalist detail in her face.
Needless to say, I added a black background layer over top of the gold to enhance it more and make it POP!
I added white highlights in the edges of her face to better enhance the appearance of her facial features. I only did a thin layer so when it dried the secondary layer would still shine through easily.
After three weeks of revisions the final step consisted of adding putty on the edges of her neck to form the necklace versus my original idea to leave the necklace area flat .. After a few layers of gloss and shine , Renata was finally ready ! Hope you dig it as much as I did painting it :)
This piece will be on display at the Otakon art show on the 20th of April 2018 and available online at : brokechelladc.com
