I think I set it to not receive votes but I'm not sure. So, please don't. I just wanted to put a little bit - a very little bit - of background to some of the art i'm doing. There is a ton of music, movies, fashion and more about her everywhere if you are interested.
Iconic to say the least.
I was a little too young to really have been fully aware of all of it back in those olden days but that era formed my world view and my artistic aesthetic. That includes the fashion. From Jimi Hendrix and Twiggy to David Bowie and more. A funny example is my mom loved the chain store Judy's and so did I! I was a little kid with crush on all the girls who worked there. They were all at least a foot taller than me. And they were the hippest coolest girls around.
I'm not interested right now in the prices of fashion and any arguments pro or con about that. It's obviously a huge topic but I'm just not prepared to deal with it. I put the auction info in because it happened after I started the series of work and I thought that was pretty cool. I'm interested in the creativity and the artists. I've always been interested in the extreme creatives and generally they are not the people handling the money machine. I would say never. But I digress. Let's not go there. I want to enjoy the amazing humans.
