A "speedpaint" is a quickly finished digital painting, usually the time limit is 30 minutes. It started on Sijun.com many years ago, nowadays it's popular on every forum and even Facebook (some call it spitpaint).
However, there's a misunderstanding going around - some people think it means a sped-up video of a painting that takes hours. You see this a lot on Youtube, mostly from non-English speakers.
No, that's a time-lapse. It's an important distinction to make, since one takes less than half an hour, and the other can take 5, 6 or 8 hours, perhaps more.
This one was given a theme by the guy who started the thread, the theme for that post was "Spot the alien". So I imagined an alien trying to pass as a human, but not being familiar with the finer points of culture and environments on Earth. LOL explaining the joke completely kills it right...
