Just made this high contrast commission. Was really fun to. Brief was to depict the character breathing fire to the sky and burning four items in a certain order. With a legend above and another beneath. Oh and three items to her right side and another on her left. So I started with the hyper-rough sketches for composition.
The last one, D, I just send it to propose other (more risky) compo. And was the one client liked more.

For the breath of fire, I had in my mind the scene of the "atomic breath" of shin gojira... That scene... I like it a lot. And the way the fire is like concentrated or pressured in one ray, looks badass. Also has beautiful music.
