Los Dioses.
Los griegos adoraban a muchos dioses diferentes, cada uno de los cuales, según ellos, regía una parcela de su vida. Los dioses más importantes pertenecían a la familia liderada por Zeus, el rey de los dioses. Los escritos griegos revelan que la gente tenía diferentes actitudes con respecto a sus dioses. Mientras que la mayor parte creía en sus poderes y temía enfurecerlos, otros dudaban de su existencia.
Apolo y su hermana melliza Artemisa eran dioses arqueros asociados con la enfermedad (enviaban la muerte repentina con sus flechas) y con la curación. Artemisa era la diosa del parto, de la caza y de la luna. Apolo era el dios de las profecías, de la poesía y de la música; también era el dios de la luz, conocido como Febo (“brillante”) en la cultura Romana. Artísticamente se le representaba como un joven imberbe, el efebo perfecto.
Mitológicamente se conoce que Apolo y Artemisa son hijos de Zeus y Leto, dioses de los cuales les traeré dibujos e información próximamente.
