Unless someone's an artist they most likely have only a vague idea about what it entails to create an elaborate piece of artwork. The creative spark, the concept development, the sketching, the collection of reference material, the actual painting or drawing procedure, the doing over of certain parts, the finishing touches, the tweaking, the last finishing touches, the very last finishing touches...
And it doesn't really matter what medium is used, the only advantage of digital art is that changes can be made more easily, but there is no magic shift-alt-a key combination to create a masterpiece even in the digital realm. It can even take longer because of all the endless possibilities.
So I'm asking all the freeloaders and plagiarists:
Do you have any f***ing clue what it takes to
make this
Serenade To The Universe

out of this?

I didn't think so. The next question is, if you would know all the hours, days and weeks that are involved when creating art would you actually care? I guess it depends on what kind of person you are. I don't even give a darn about the occasional broke art lover that downloads a piece of art just because they love it so much but can't afford to buy it. As long as they used it for personal enjoyment on their desktop or even hang a small print on the wall, I understand that and don't mind it that much, but I do mind the people that CAN afford to buy the artwork and to support the artist and choose to steal it instead, or worse, to steal the art and then use it to make profit from it.

This is not cool people, and it makes you parasites of the worst kind. Creating art is work and artists have needs the same as lawyers, bankers, doctors, plumbers, etc, and we should be able to support ourselves same way as people with a 'regular job'. If you think it's cool to rip someone off and find it badass to mooch on others, steal from people who are loaded and don't feel it, or steal from other parasites. But keep your sleazy hands away from our labor because you need us. Most artists have good intentions and sacrifice their time trying to make the world a better place, even for the cockroaches.
Remember

Stay decent people, at some point humanity has to evolve. The reef scenario where the smaller fish get eaten buy the bigger ones and so on, and so on, is barbaric. Life can't go on like this forever and there's no better time to break that vicious cycle than now.
Artists, if your work has been plagiarized or you feel that's gonna happen soon, share this post, because we have the right to make a decent living and same way a huge corporation has the right to have their intellectual property protected, we have the right to defend our creative property. Peace!
