Being in charge of the new incoming artworks on the net, galleries or museums makes you an curator. You make decisions regarding which works to select, comment and interpret.
Before the internet education and training was for the future curator the only way to get there...
...today you can self proclaim yourself and start right away to give your opinion about everything that crosses your way.
Sometimes I wonder if declaring somebodys artwork as "astonishing" and "great", while it is quickly done and for the best "mediocre", really helps the "artist" to develop his skills in the future.
It for sure is a great thing to see only the best in people, but not everyone who fails is a victim. It is always easy to sacrifice the future to the present and in general people create their worlds with the tools they have at hand or seem available to them. It is also a fact that faulty tools produce faulty results.
That's why, provided that you got talent, you learn from the past.
